Arrival by car: From the direction of Frankfurt A 5 / Kassel A 7 Erfurt A4, exit Gotha B247 direction Suhl, city center, follow the hotel route. From Frankfurt A5 / Kassel A7: Departure Erfurter Kreuz to the A71 direction Suhl via Ilmenau / Suhl, exit Suhl / Zella-Mehlis, town center, Hotelrote note. From the direction of Nürnberg / Erlangen A7: Direction Coburg B4, take the A73 motorway Coburg to Eisfeld, direction Suhl, city center, follow the hotel route. From direction Würzburg A7: From Schweinfurt take the A71 via Meiningen until exit Suhl / Zella-Mehlis, city center, follow the hotel route. Arrival by train: By train Suhl: 1km. Erfurt, IC station: 70km.

A delicious and rich breakfast buffet awaits you in our restaurant with a large selection of bread and pastries, hearty and sweet toppings, cereals, egg dishes, yoghurt and quark, as well as fresh fruit. We are prepared for gluten-free and lactose-free food.
In the hotel restaurant with its 100 seats, the classics of Thuringian and international as well as seasonal cuisine are served. Attractive buffets and candle light dinners will delight gourmets and healthy people alike. What you must have tried: Thuringian bratwurst and Thuringian dumplings!

Please note that at Christmas and New Year’s Eve no à la carte meals are offered. At these times we only offer buffet meals. From December 24th – 26. 12. we offer you our Christmas menu in the evening.
You can enjoy nippy dishes in a relaxed atmosphere in the cosy Restaurant Bistro. In summer, the terrace café offers coffee and ice cream variations in a relaxed atmosphere with a view of the romantic Herrenteich. The hotel bar invites you to linger and enjoy a fresh draft or exotic drinks.

Worth seeing in and around Suhl
Suhl is situated on the southern slope of the Thuringian Forest in the valley of Lauter and Hasel. The city is surrounded by mountains between 650 m and 983 m high. On the world-famous 168 km long hiking trail „Rennsteig“; you can enjoy the green nature to the full.
In winter you will find first-class cross-country ski runs and in the winter sports resort of Oberhof (only 15 km from Suhl) there are bobsleigh runs and competition sites for cross-country skiing, biathlon and ski jumping.
For supporting programmes, the surrounding area offers a wide range of possibilities from sports to culture: adventure pool directly opposite, bowling, clay target shooting, summer and winter tobogganing in Oberhof, hiking and cycling in one of the most beautiful low mountain ranges in Germany.

Hiking and cycling
In Thuringia we find the largest continuous forest area and at the same time one of the most beautiful low mountain ranges in Germany.
