Varied breakfast in Waldkirchen with a unique panoramic view – this is only available in our restaurant in the Michel Hotel Karoli Waldkirchen in the middle of the idyllic Bavarian Forest. A delicious and rich breakfast buffet awaits you in our restaurant with a large selection of bread and baked goods, savory and sweet toppings, muesli, egg dishes, yoghurt and quark as well as fresh fruit. We are prepared for gluten-free and lactose-free food.
In our restaurant you can enjoy a delicious and rich breakfast buffet in the morning with a unique panoramic view over the Bavarian Forest. For dinner, we invite you to our Michel & Friends Hotel, which is about 500m away.

Our small, hotel sauna and relaxation area is currently closed (as of June 10, 2022).
The approximately 4-hectare Karoli bathing park is also only 500 meters from the hotel and provides lots of fun and relaxation for all age groups.

Facilities for changing are available on site. Please note that the Mediterraneum and the outdoor pool are closed until further notice. The swimming pool, the children’s pool, the whirlpool and the saunas are available for use. Due to the Covid – and energy crisis, the conditions of use of the Karoli pool may change at short notice, or lead to a partial or total closure. Hiking paradise Bavarian Forest
The two national parks Bavarian Forest and Sumava (Bohemian Forest) form the heart of the Green Roof of Europe and are the largest forest national park in Germany. Here nature is allowed to develop freely according to its own laws. On your hikes you will dive into primeval forests, which give an idea of the former primeval forests in Germany.
Karoli Badepark, Waldkirchen
Enjoy your stay in the most beautiful and quietest elevation of the Bavarian Forest and at the same time in the middle of the sunniest area in the Michel & Friends Hotel Waldkirchen and of course in the Karoli Bathing Park. The Karoli Bathing Park is situated on an area of about 4 hectares in a prime location with a fantastic view. Here’s the layout plan. From the hotel you can reach the bathing park directly and via a connecting corridor (bathrobe corridor).
Swimmer’s pool 25 x 10 meters with a generous sunbathing area. 28 degrees water temperature. In the basement there is a children’s pool, a hot whirl pool and a steam sauna.
The Mediterraneum
Salt water indoor pool and outdoor pool fed with thermal brine. Pleasant 34 to 36 degrees water temperature. The undisputed focal point presents itself as a modern, architecturally highly attractive glass building. In the 4 round pools (brine pool, warm water pool, sitting pool, story pool) you can relax in pleasantly warm thermal brine. The outdoor pool is in operation all year round. Direct access from the adjacent hotel is possible.
The outdoor swimming pool
Terraced complex with swimming pool 50 x 25 meters. The pool is solar heated and has a water temperature of around 24 degrees on pleasant bathing days. The outdoor pool is equipped with a 105 m long water slide and a wide water slide, which provide fun and excitement. In the immediate vicinity of the swimming pool there is a children’s pool, a playground and 2 beach volleyball courts. The outdoor pool is only open in summer and in good weather conditions. However, the sensitively embedded courses and extensive fairways should not be underestimated. The ascending forest and meadow terrain with impressive scenery demands the highest concentration from every golfer. What you can expect: 18-hole championship course PAR 72, 9-hole championship course PAR 72, partly covered practice facilities such as driving range, putting green, pitching and chipping green, golf school, golf shop and club rental, no tee-off times, daytime green fee, a fantastic panorama, excellently maintained fairways and greens, a varied terrain.

Waldkirchen is known for its ideal location near the border triangle, between the Danube and the Dreisessel, the three-river city of Passau (25km) and the Bavarian Forest National Park with its newest attraction – the longest treetop path in the world.
