A large selection of bread and baked goods, savoury and sweet toppings, muesli, egg dishes, yoghurt and quark, as well as fresh fruit awaits you. We are prepared for gluten-free and lactose-free food.

In fine weather and in summer, the large garden terrace of the Michel & Friends Hotel offers the possibility to have breakfast in the garden and enjoy the panoramic view. In the evening you can watch breathtaking sunsets over a glass of wine or beer. From the terrace of the Michel Hotel, with its magnificent panoramic view over Waldkirchen and the surrounding mountains, you can enjoy the warming rays of the sun during the day over coffee and cake.

Culinary we spoil you with delicious breaks and great buffets and menus for every occasion.

Your dog is welcome here. Please understand that we charge € 15.00 per night / per animal as a separate cleaning fee. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant.

The hotel is situated in a spacious, unspoilt landscape at an altitude of 1,000m above sea level in the middle of the Bavarian Forest Nature Park with the Bavarian Forest National Park not far from a large number of sports facilities in Waldkirchen.

From the hotel you can reach the Karoli bathing park directly and through a connecting corridor. The entrance fee is included for hotel guests until further notice. Please note that the Mediterraneum and the outdoor pool are closed until further notice. The swimming pool, the children’s pool, the whirlpool and the saunas are available for use. Due to the Covid – and energy crisis, the conditions of use of the Karoli pool may change at short notice, or lead to a partial or total closure. Enjoy your stay in the most beautiful and quietest elevation of the Bavarian Forest and at the same time in the middle of the sunniest area in the Michel & Friends Hotel Waldkirchen and of course in the Karoli Bathing Park. The Karoli Bathing Park is situated on an area of about 4 hectares in a prime location with a fantastic view. Here’s the layout plan. From the hotel you can reach the bathing park directly and via a connecting corridor (bathrobe corridor).

The indoor swimming pool

Swimmer’s pool 25 x 10 meters with a generous sunbathing area. 28 degrees water temperature. In the basement there is a children’s pool, a hot whirl pool and a steam sauna.

The Mediterraneum

Salt water indoor pool and outdoor pool fed with thermal brine. Pleasant 34 to 36 degrees water temperature. The undisputed focal point presents itself as a modern, architecturally highly attractive glass building. In the 4 round pools (brine pool, warm water pool, sitting pool, story pool) you can relax in pleasantly warm thermal brine. The outdoor pool is in operation all year round. Direct access from the adjacent hotel is possible.

The outdoor swimming pool

Terraced complex with swimming pool 50 x 25 meters. The pool is solar heated and has a water temperature of around 24 degrees on pleasant bathing days. The outdoor pool is equipped with a 105 m long water slide and a wide water slide, which provide fun and excitement. In the immediate vicinity of the swimming pool there is a children’s pool, a playground and 2 beach volleyball courts. The outdoor pool is only open in summer and in good weather conditions.
